Instilling leadership skills in the students of today creates a better tomorrow. The Student Leadership Challenge® guides and develops students who have yet to gain formal business and leadership experience by teaching them The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership®. By exercising these behaviors, all students, no matter their background or GPA, can lead and light the way into the future.
The Student Leadership Challenge works for developing leaders in high school and college classrooms, student governments, clubs, fraternities and sororities, FYE programs, service programs, teams, and youth organizations. It works well for both in-person and virtual educational opportunities.
The complete experience of The Student Leadership Challenge includes the Student LPI®: Leadership Practices Inventory®, The Student Leadership Challenge book, and the facilitation experience (whether virtual or in-person) working together. The book fosters an understanding of The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership that allows the Student LPI and the facilitation experience to create an even more profound impact.
The Student Leadership Challenge tailors one of the most respected leadership models to meet the needs of students. Based on The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership, this book merges research with stories to help students internalize leadership concepts, assess their behaviors, and practice effective leadership.
The Student LPI 360 assessment measures how frequently students engage in the 30 behaviors that lead to the best leadership outcomes. It allows students to understand their behaviors and receive feedback from mentors, educators, and peers. The LPI lets students own their development, identify where to improve, analyze their results over time, and make comparisons across groups.
Our materials give educators flexible building blocks for teaching The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership and for helping students make the practice of leadership meaningful and relevant. Activities for each practice keep the content cohesive and true to the model. Facilitation opportunities can take place both virtually and in-person.
As an educator, you realize the importance of ongoing education. We value that too, so we provide opportunities for educators to deepen their understanding of The Student Leadership Challenge in order to equip and empower the next generation of leaders.
