Alan Lyme

Bio: Who am I? Born in England, I went in search of adventure and found myself in Florida, where I attended Florida Atlantic University for my BSW and Barry University for my MSW. I have served in human services for over 25 years, and have a passion for facilitating life-changing experiences! As a clinician, supervisor, trainer and coach I have observed thousands of individuals grow personally and professionally. My current professional role is as the Director of Training for the Phoenix Center in Greenville, South Carolina. I was involved with the University of South Carolina College of Social Work HOPES SBIRT grant as a clinical skills trainer for three years, and a Field Liaison for two. I have been an active member of MINT (Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers) since 2004, and am a Certified MI Trainer. I teach two training series each year in the Greenville area, in addition to offering trainings nationwide. As a Leadership Challenge Workshop Certified Master, I have facilitated trainings in both the business and non-profit worlds. I consider myself a dedicated agent of change. My Leadership Challenge information can be found on my website Upstartleadershipdevelopment.com. I live in Spartanburg County with my wife Sara and our two sons, Dylan, 7, and Benjamin, 10. The boys are teaching me about parenthood on a daily basis! I can be contacted at [email protected] or 561 254 3757
