Inspire a Shared Vision

Leaders find the common thread that weaves the fabric of human needs into a colorful tapestry. They connect others to what is most meaningful in a shared vision. They lift people to higher levels of motivation and morality, and continuously reinforce that they can make a difference in the world.

Take one day this week to focus on the Practice of Inspiring a Shared Vision. Speak with at least one individual constituent or team member during the day about your own convictions—about the higher meaning and purpose of your work. Make notes about your conversation and consider how you might use what you learned to motivate others to a higher level of work.
